Tom Holland sustained a concussion on the U.K. set of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, multiple reports say.

The injury occurred on Friday at Leavesden Studios in the town of Watford in Hertfordshire, where the latest Spider-Man film is being shot. The Daily Mail reported that the 29-year-old was taken to the hospital after hitting his head during a fall.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Holland was diagnosed with a mild concussion and would be taking a break from filming “for several days.” No one else was injured, the outlet reported.

The outlet said executives from Sony Pictures were scheduled to meet on Monday to “decide how to move forward with the production.”

Deadline.com, though, reported that the pause was “out of precaution” and that Holland is expected to return to the set soon.

On Saturday, Holland hosted a charity dinner at Christie’s auction house in London. The event, called the Posh Pub Quiz, was organized by the Brothers Trust, a charity Holland runs with his three brothers. Zendaya, Holland’s fiancée and Spider-Man costar, was in attendance.

The couple was seen smiling and posing for photos with attendees.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is due in theaters on July 31, 2026. Filming began in Glasgow, Scotland, last month.

The movie is being directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and has a cast that includes Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk), Jon Bernthal (The Punisher), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things) and Tramell Tillman (Severance).

The franchise’s previous installment, 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, was Sony’s highest-grossing movie of all time, with $1.91 billion in worldwide ticket sales.
