Buenos Aires-based trio TRÍADA has announced a debut EP, De Versiones y Alma.

The group—comprised of Diamela Spina (vocals and percussion), Julia Percowicz (vocals) and Aylen Reynoso (guitar)—released their debut single, a cover of bossa-nova classic “O Pato” by João Gilberto in December. In a statement shared upon the single’s release, the trio called the track “a song that we are very fond of, as it marked part of our lives and showed us the way in our beginnings as a group.”

Their new, six-track compilation gathers some of their most popular covers on social media, including a Spanish-language cover of Verve labelmate Liana Flores’ track “rises the moon” (stylized as “Sale La Luna”) and Sofía Alvez’s “Rompí.”

Spina, Percowicz and Reynoso started making music together while they were studying at performing arts school, ultimately amassing a substantial, global social media following before beginning to self-record music in 2023. It was at that point that they chose the name TRÍADA, a reference to the three notes that make a chord.

In addition to the covers featured on the EP, which will be released on March 21st, TRÍADA has also shared covers of songs from Lianna La Havas, Laufey, Yebba Smith and more. Their Verve labelmates include the likes of Grammy-winning artist Samara Joy, Cynthia Erivo, Arooj Aftab, Diana Krall and Kurt Vile.
