Inside BTS' First White House Visit With President Joe Biden

President Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden are holding onto the memories.

Ahead of the Donald Trump’s Presidential Inauguration Jan. 20, the first couple shared a selfie outside of the White House to commemorate the Biden Administration’s last day in office.

Alongside a selfie of Joe and herself, Jill wrote in a Jan. 20 Instagram post, “one final photo.”

Later, President Biden also shared the picture to his official presidential social media accounts, adding, “We love you, America.”

The photo comes just hours before the second inauguration of Trump, who will be sworn into the presidency alongside his vice president J.D. Vance at the United States Capitol Rotunda—where former president Ronald Reagan was also sworn in back in 1985 due to inclement weather.

In addition to President Biden and his wife, Vice President Kamala Harris, First Gentlemen Doug Emhoff, as well as former presidents Barack Obama, George W. Bush, and Bill Clinton will be in attendance.

Tech giants like Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Tesla’s Elon Musk, and Apple’s Tim Cook will also gather for the 2025 Inauguration, which takes place on Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Day. The ceremony itself will also feature a live performance from Carrie Underwood

“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event," Underwood said in a statement to E! News Jan. 13. “I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”

Other artists that are set to perform for the event include Gavin DeGraw, The Village People and Nelly, who said he chose to perform at the inauguration to “support the Office.”

As the “My Place” rapper put it in a statement on the Willie D. Live podcast Jan. 18, “I support the President of the United States, regardless of who’s in office.”

Meanwhile, former first lady Michelle Obama confirmed she will not be attending.

“Former President Barack Obama is confirmed to attend the 60th Inaugural Ceremonies,” a spokesperson for the Obamas told E! News Jan. 14. “Former first lady Michelle Obama will not attend the upcoming inauguration.”
