Trump Seemingly Covers Mysterious Neck Rash with Makeup (Photos)

Donald Trump seemingly resorted to a reliable old trick of his to cover an affliction on his skin.

One day after the 79-year-old president incited concerns when he was seen with a mysterious red rash on his neck, he seemingly coated the part of his body with makeup before making an appearance on Tuesday (March 3).

Trump met with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in the Oval Office and addressed the press.

A photo from their meeting shows that his neck appeared much less red than it did the day prior when he attended a Medal of Honor ceremony. The president’s neck did appear to have foundation or some sort of makeup caked on top of the rash, which still appeared to be visible.

The exact cause of the president’s rash is still unclear, though White House doctor Dr. Sean Barbabella told CNN that it was a side effect of a “preventative skin treatment” that Trump is using.

“President Trump is using a very common cream on the right side of his neck, which is a preventative skin treatment,” Barbabella told the outlet. “The President is using the treatment for one week, and the redness is expected to last for a few weeks.”

Additional details about the rash and the treatment have not been made available at this time.

This isn’t the first time that Trump has used makeup to coverup issues with his skin.

He is frequently seen with makeup covering bruising on his hand, including during a January 28 appearance with Nicki Minaj.

Bruising on his hand has been attributed to him shaking hands with too many people.

During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Trump commented on his skin and said that he was once left with a nick on his hand after catching his skin on Attorney General Pam Bondi‘s ring.

The president described makeup as a quick fix that is “easy to put on” and “takes about 10 seconds.”

While speaking to the press in January, Trump revealed the “worst f—ing thing [he] ever did” while discussing his health.
