Trump Threatens to Send ICE to Airports Starting Monday Amid DHS Funding Fight

President Donald Trump is threatening to send ICE agents to airports.

The 79-year-old President of the United States claimed over the weekend that he will order federal immigration officers to go to airports on Monday (March 23) unless Democrats agree on a bill to fund the Department of Homeland Security.

“On Monday, ICE will be going to airports to help our wonderful TSA Agents who have stayed on the job despite the fact that the Radical Left Democrats, who are only focused on protecting hard line criminals who have entered our Country illegally, are endangering the USA by holding back the money that was long ago agreed to with signed and sealed contracts, and all. But watch, no matter how great a job ICE does, the Lunatics leading the incompetent Dems will be highly critical of their work. THEY WILL DO A FANTASTIC JOB. The great Tom Homan is in charge!!! President DJT” he wrote on Truth Social.

“The Democrats want to give our Country away to the illegals who they allowed to pour through our now very strong Border. I won’t allow that to happen. The Democrats are grossly incompetent! ICE is ready to go on Monday,” he said in another post.

He did not explain how ICE would be involved in the airport security.

DHS said at least 376 TSA agents have quit since the partial shutdown began February 14, as they’re working without pay, via PBS.

Democrats vowed to oppose funding for DHS unless significant changes were made amid the shooting deaths of two citizens by ICE officers.

The Senate just rejected a motion by Democrats on Saturday (March 21) to to reopen TSA and pay workers who are now going without paychecks, as Republicans pushed back and argued that they need to fund all parts of the DHS, not just certain ones.

Robert Mueller, the former FBI director who led the historic probe into alleged collusion between Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and the Russian government, passed away, and Trump just said he’s “glad.”
