It’s a good time to be a Nat ‘King’ Cole fan. A new visualizer has arrived on YouTube for “Orange Colored Sky,” bringing new color and life to a well-loved classic. The clip combines watercolor and calligraphy animation styles to accompany the track, which describes an otherwise normal day until Cole’s narrator is struck by the surprise beauty who crosses his path. Of course, there is plenty of orange to be found in the new clip. Cole’s recording of the song was released in 1950, eventually becoming a top-ten hit in the United States pop charts.

The video comes as uDiscover Music has launched yet another way for fans to appreciate the music of one of jazz’s greatest voices. Fans can now enter to win a three-release set of some of Cole’s best-known music. The contest winner will receive a copy of A Sentimental Christmas with Nat King Cole and Friends, which includes Cole’s iconic rendition of “The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)” and duets with the likes of Johnny Mathis, Gloria Estafan, Kristin Chenoweth, and John Legend. The second vinyl is Unforgettable, which includes tracks like “For Sentimental Reasons,” “Red Sails In The Sunset” and “Answer Me, My Love.” Finally, the winner will also receive The Very Best Of Nat King Cole on CD, which was originally issued in 2006 and features nearly 30 classic Cole tracks.

“Orange Colored Sky” and these three albums aren’t the only Cole projects to receive renewed attention recently. Last month, a new visualizer for “I Don’t Want To See Tomorrow” also arrived on YouTube, imagining the choral-assisted track with the image of a baby grand piano in an apartment as the hours pass by outside, going from day to night and back again. This track was released as a B-side to Cole’s famous song “L-O-V-E” and was released shortly before his death in 1965. 60 years later, fans can still find new ways to experience the magic that is Nat King Cole.
