Reacher star Alan Ritchson recently took to social media to share a video of him chugging a jar of pickle juice and mustard. Initially, he complains about the quantity and asks why he’s supposed to drink that entirely. Then his friend suggests that it’s for muscle recovery.

Ritchson shared a video on Instagram of himself chugging a jar of pickle juice and mustard, which his friend in the background claimed was necessary for muscle recovery. The video starts with Ritchson saying that he’s always up to drinking something “nasty,” and then revealing that previously he had egg whites.

As he points towards the jar, he says that his friends around him are making him do so. He complains that the quantity of the juice is too much before his friend reveals one of the benefits of the juice. He argues that the benefit is not science and asks his friend to show him where he Googled this remedy.

Ritchson continues his complaint about the juice being a lot, showcasing the jar towards the camera to show the viewers the exact quantity.

He claims that it’s not a jar; it appears to be a gallon. His friends around cheer him to chug it real quick. After he drinks all the juice, he starts to cough and reveals that it “burned” his throat. With still some remaining, his friend suggests he drink it completely, but Ritchson says that his throat isn’t good. He captioned the video, “It keeps getting worse.”

This post comes less than a month after Ritchson reportedly got into a physical altercation with a neighbor. On the professional front, the War Machine star is set to feature in an action-thriller movie, Runner, with Owen Wilson. It will come out in September 2026.
