Audrey Hobert may consider herself just a lucky beginner in some regards. But when it comes to making earworm weirdo pop aesthetically at the intersection of Taylor Swift and Dory from Finding Nemo, she comes off like a seasoned pro. Case in point: her new NPR Tiny Desk Concert, which sees the rising singer-songwriter perform “Thirst Trap,” “Sue Me,” and more from her debut album Who’s the Clown? Hobert also offered some clarity on her relationship to the show Friends before launching into “Phoebe”: “I’ve seen all but one and a half seasons. I saw what I needed to see, got what I needed, and I wrote the song.” Watch it all below.

Since releasing Who’s the Clown? nearly a year ago today, Hobert—once best known for cowriting “That’s So True” with her childhood best friend Gracie Abrams—has seen her profile rise significantly. She’s drawn massive crowds at Governor’s Ball and Lollapalooza, sold out two North American tours, and released self-directed videos for her songs “Silver Jubilee” and “Sex and the City.”
