Those planning to watch the 2026 Super Bowl will be treated to a performance of “America the Beautiful” by multi-Grammy winner Brandi Carlile.

While watching the pre-game performances, you might be curious about Brandi’s personal life, including her wife, Catherine Carlilie née Shepherd, and their adorable children.

Catherine worked for Paul McCartney‘s charity for a decade, which is where she met Brandi. They first talked over the phone in 2009, before meeting in person in 2010.

They later married in Boston in September 2012 and since then have had two daughters through IVF and IUI, reports People. Their girls are Evangeline Ruth, 11, and Elijah, 7.

According to Brandi, Catherine is also musically inclined.

“She plays guitar and sings really well,” she told Richmond Magazine. “We jam at home all the time, but it doesn’t really go any further than that. We do really enjoy playing and singing together.”
