Will Compton and Taylor Lewan, hosts of the popular podcast Bussin’ with the Boys, announced their exit from Barstool Sports in a recent episode. The decision comes after they received a lucrative offer from an unnamed sponsor.

Compton revealed that they initially had intentions of staying with the beloved organization. However, the new offer from founder Dave Portnoy did not meet their expectations. They were open to staying, provided Portnoy’s new offer was closer to their current one. Unfortunately, it fell short by 40%, which they found unacceptable.

Additionally, they revealed about receiving a new offer that they couldn’t refuse, which allowed them to work independently. However, the duo did not reveal the identity of their new sponsor.

“We’ll be exclusive with sponsors, but not with a network … We can collab with whoever we want to, we have creative control, which is exactly what ‘Bussin’ with the Boys’ wanted to be from the beginning … It’s awesome,” Compton said.

Expressing his feelings about leaving Barstool, where they worked for almost six years, Compton said, “You hate when you have to move on from them. Because you want that team that bet on your from the beginning, were loyal to you, that bet you on the whole time and helped and grow build you … it’s tough to get away from that.”

Previously, rumors circulated online about the popular hosts’ departure from Barstool, when Compton shared insights on their contract on Surviving Barstool earlier this January. They revealed about being “voted off” from the show and teased being in negotiation of cracking another big contract. This led many to believe that their exit from the company was near.
