Warcraft, a movie starring Travis Fimmel, Toby Kebbell, Ben Foster, and Paula Patton, was released across the globe in 2016. The movie is based on the fan-favorite multiplayer game by Blizzard Entertainment.

No, the Warcraft 2 trailer featuring Henry Cavill is fake.

Recently, a trailer for Warcraft 2 was posted on YouTube by the popular channel, KH Studio. Labeled as the first trailer, the clip went over the 1-minute mark and included various war scenes that were compiled to form the trailer. Additionally, the trailer had shots of Cavill in armor which looked like they were generated with the help of AI.

Since it has been posted on the platform, the Warcraft 2 trailer has garnered over 15,000 views and 207 likes at the time of writing. But despite looking realistic, the trailer is a fan-made clip. It has been created by combining AI-generated footage with clips from Cavill’s other projects. Meanwhile, the YouTube channel, KH Studio, has generated a fanbase for itself by creating similar concept trailers for many upcoming movies.

Will Henry Cavill star in Warcraft 2?

No, Henry Cavill will not star in Warcraft 2, as the chances of the sequel happening are unlikely.

Warcraft, which was released in 2016 wasn’t a financial success for Universal Pictures. Although the movie did well internationally, earning approximately $439 million worldwide, it performed poorly domestically. Furthermore, Warcraft wasn’t well received by the critics and received a rating of 29 percent on Rotten Tomatoes.

Additionally, the news of Henry Cavill joining the movie is seemingly untrue as there have been no official announcements regarding it. In 2018, Warcraft director Duncan Jones was asked on X (formerly Twitter) if a sequel was happening. He replied, “Doesn’t look good, my friend.”
