A trailer for a new Dracula movie featuring Jenna Ortega has taken the internet by storm, leaving fans questioning its authenticity. Moviegoers have recently experienced a frightful vampire in Robert Eggers’ Nosferatu and are wondering if the Bram Stoker classic will reappear again this year.

Here’s everything we know about whether the trailer for Jenna Ortega’s Dracula is real and if the movie is arriving soon.

Is the new Dracula trailer and movie real or fake?

The viral Dracula trailer is fake.

A seemingly new Dracula trailer featuring Keanu Reeves and Jenna Ortega recently made rounds on the internet, instantly intriguing fans. The viral video quickly amassed close to 2 million views. However, KH Studio, a YouTube channel, created the fan-made concept, confirming it isn’t a real movie trailer.

In the description underneath, the creator clearly states that it is not a real trailer. They wrote:

“Please note that this video is a concept trailer created solely for artistic and entertainment purposes. I have meticulously incorporated various effects, sound design, AI technologies, movie analytics, and other elements to bring my vision to life.”

Will Jenna Ortega appear in a Dracula movie in 2025?

There is, unfortunately, no Dracula adaptation happening this year with Keanu Reeves and Jenna Ortega in the lead roles. However, cinephiles are in for a different treat instead. Renowned French filmmaker Luc Besson is directing a gothic horror flick titled Dracula: A Love Tale.

The upcoming movie will adapt Bram Stoker’s 1897 classic novel Dracula and is set to star Caleb Landry Jones, Christoph Waltz, and Matilda De Angelis. A 2024 report by Collider confirmed that principal photography for the film began in Lapland on March 27, 2024.

An iconic figure in world literature, Dracula has graced the silver screen numerous times in the past. Some of the most popular actors to have portrayed the Transylvanian Count include Gary Oldman, Bela Lugosi, Christopher Lee, Claes Bang, and many more.
