Every Chicago Fire season brings its share of smoke, sparks, and speculation. But the latest chapter has set off one of the loudest alarm bells yet, and it’s all centered on Firehouse 51’s fearless Lieutenant Stella Kidd. Longtime fans are convinced that Miranda Rae Mayo’s character might be leaving the NBC drama in Season 14. But is she?

Where was Miranda Rae Mayo’s Stella in Chicago Fire Season 14 Episode 20?

Speculation around Stella Kidd is at a fever pitch, with viewers suspecting Miranda Rae Mayo will exit Chicago Fire in Season 14.

Given the twists and turns Stella has faced this season, Chicago Fire fans immediately picked up on her absence from the May 6 episode. Meanwhile, her husband, Kelly Severide, is seeing his career at risk. Interim District Chief Andre Hopkins is trying to sabotage him.

To set the record straight for fans waiting on answers, no, Stella isn’t going anywhere. There are no reports of her leaving the show, as of writing.

After learning about the chaos unfolding in Severide’s professional life, former Office of Fire Investigation Chief Van Meter stopped by for a visit. Severide welcomed Van Meter, who quickly noticed that Stella wasn’t home and asked where she was (via NBC.com).

Severide explained that Stella had to leave for Cleveland late the previous night to visit Isaiah, their teenage foster son. Hearing that, Van Meter asked if everything was alright. Severide explained that Isaiah’s mother had a small setback in her recovery. She was comatose when Isaiah lived with him and Stella.

However, after she began improving, Isaiah moved to Cleveland with a family friend to be closer to her. Unfortunately, her condition took a turn for the worse, though the doctor expects her to be okay. Even so, Isaiah was shaken up, so Stella rushed to Cleveland to support him.

To keep up with the latest developments, fans can watch Chicago Fire on Wednesdays on NBC and the next day on Peacock.
