Bianca Censori’s bold Grammys look won’t cause her any legal trouble.
After the model made a surprise appearance at the Grammys 2025 alongside husband Kanye West, and dropped her gigantic coat on the red carpet to reveal her nearly-naked body, the Los Angeles Police Department has weighed in on whether her see-through dress would get her into legal trouble.
“The Grammys are a private event,” the LAPD told TMZ in a statement on Feb. 4, “and no one from the award show has contacted police with any complaints about how Bianca was dressed.”
While users across social media speculated that Censori’s display should have broken a law, it’s unlikely she violated California’s indecent exposure law. After all, the law states that a person must “willfully or lewdly” expose themselves in “any public place, or in any place where there are present other persons to be offended or annoyed.”
Per authorities, no formal complaints were made about the 30-year-old’s moment in front of the Grammys’ step-and-repeat.
Censori and West’s appearance at the Grammys red carpet was his first time attending any part of the ceremony since 2015, when he brought along then-wife Kim Kardashian. The 47-year-old—who shares kids North, 11, Saint, 9, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5, with the Kardashians star—was up for Best Rap Song alongside Ty Dolla $ign for “Carnival,” at the 67th ceremony, although the accolade ultimately went to Kendrick Lamar for “Not Like Us.”

Shortly after making their red carpet appearance, West—who wore a simple all black ensemble for the moment—shared insight into Censori’s eyebrow-raising look.
“Custom Courture [sic] Grammy dress for the most beautiful woman ever," he wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post. “My best friend My wife.”
And days after the event, he emphasized the noise Censori’s outfit made in another since-deleted post, where he wrote, “MY WIFE IS THE MOST GOOGLED PERSON ON THE PLANET CALLED EARTH.”
