The 2026 Super Bowl is taking this place this weekend and lots of attendees are wondering if ICE agents will be present at the big event.

In recent months, agents for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) have upped their presence around the country, and people have been protesting the presence in their communities by boycotting companies for supporting ICE and calling for defunding of the program amid the ICE-related deaths of at least eight people in 2026 alone.

Ahead of the big event on Sunday (February 8), the NFL chief security Cathy Lainer said in a press conference that the federal security presence at this year’s game will be consistent with past Super Bowls, noting that ICE officers will NOT be among the federal agencies present at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.

Keep reading to find out more…“There are no planned ICE enforcement activities,” Lainer said, per ESPN. “We are confident of that.”

Sources also told The Associated Press that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official Jeff Brannigan hosted a series of private calls with local officials and the NFL, in which he indicated that ICE does not plan on conducting any law enforcement actions the walk of the Super Bowl, or at the game.

While ICE is currently not expected to be at the Super Bowl, many are worried that Donald Trump and the DHS may change their mind ahead of the game.

Back in October, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said that ICE “will be all over” the Super Bowl while also slamming Halftime Show headliner Bad Bunny.
