When is Eid al-Fitr in 2025?

Eid ul-Fitr is expected to take place on Sunday 30th March 2025 or Monday 31st March 2025, depending on the sighting of the moon. Unlike the Gregorian calendar we use today, the Islamic calendar operates on the lunar cycle. This means that all significant days in the Islamic calendar appear to shift forward approximately 11 days each year. Therefore, the sighting of the moon determines the end of the month-long period of Ramadan and the beginning of Eid. As with each day in the Islamic calendar, the next day begins after Maghrib prayer (just after sunset) of the same day. Eid begins after the moon has been sighted. Therefore, the last day of fasting ends at Maghrib.

Ramadan is a time of reflection, gratitude, and generosity, making the art of gifting a cherished tradition. Elevate the season with exquisite presents that blend heritage with modern elegance—bespoke leather-bound Qurans with gold-embossed calligraphy, handwoven silk prayer mats, and artisanal oud-infused tasbeehs. Indulge loved ones with gourmet date assortments drizzled in 24K gold, limited-edition attars from the world’s finest perfumers, and crystal-clad lanterns that cast a warm, celestial glow.

Add this edit to your bookmarks as we’ll add more hero buys for gift inspiration to treat your loved ones or yourself this Ramadan and Eid.
