Zack Snyder has unveiled images from his new movie, offering an early look through a series of newly released stills. The filmmaker shared a set of visuals, including an NSFW image, while highlighting the film’s large-format presentation and “Imax ready” approach.

The Last Photograph’s new stills revealed

The Last Photograph has received its first official look, with Zack Snyder unveiling new stills from the movie on social media. The images offer an early glimpse into the film’s visual approach, as anticipation builds around the upcoming release.

The first post features a collage of eight photographs drawn from the film’s opening moments, highlighting the film’s visual scale. The set of images includes a range of moments, one of which is NSFW. He captioned the post, “Some of the opening frames from The Last Photograph, shot on the Arri 265 — IMAX ready. A quiet beginning before the scale takes over. Every detail, every shadow, built for the biggest screen possible.”

A second post centers on Fra Fee, shown capturing what appears to be a burning ship. He wrote in the caption, “@fra_fee, bearing witness in our new film The Last Photograph.”

Directed by Snyder and written by Kurt Johnstad, the film stars Stuart Martin as Ethan Black alongside Fra Fee. The story follows a former DEA operative who returns to the mountains of South America after his diplomat siblings are murdered, setting out to find his missing niece and nephew.

He is joined by a war photographer who witnessed the killers and is the only person who can identify them. As they move deeper into the mountains, the mission becomes increasingly difficult. It forces both men to confront violence, loss, and their own pasts. As of now, a release date for The Last Photograph has not yet been announced.
