2025 Golden Globes Nominations: Miley Cyrus, Meryl Streep and More Snubs and Surprises
Zendaya knows how to serve with her looks.
After all, the Challengers star dazzled on the 2025 Golden Globes red carpet Jan. 5 live from the Grand Ballroom of the Beverly Hilton Hotel. (See every star on the red carpet here.)
With the help of her trusty stylist Law Roach, Zendaya—who is nominated for Best Actress in a Motion Picture—served "game, set, match" with her burnt orange ballgown that featured a voluminous train accessorized with a jaw-dropping diamond necklace. She finished her glowing, old Hollywood-inspired ensemble with matching orange high heels and her hair up in a curly bob.
For the 28-year-old, Challengers and iconic looks go hand in hand, as proven by her appearances on the film's press tour. For instance, she attended the Australia premiere in March in a shimmering green Loewe gown adorned with the silhouette of a tennis player holding a racket. In Milan, she was court-ready in a vintage white Ralph Lauren mini dress from the AW92 collection featuring a collared halter neck.
But it's no surprise that Zendaya—who stars as Tashi alongside Mike Faist and Josh O'Connor in the movie—and Law found inspiration for her looks in tennis, an essential facet of the storyline.
"Law and I have been working together for many years and we've been doing themed-dressing since The Greatest Showman," she told E! News in April. "It's so nice to be able to experiment with fashion."
"Being on the shier side," Zendaya reflected, "I think that it adds this layer of protection and confidence. I get to create these characters in films that I get to go out and embody. We have fun building these different characters during the press tour and drawing influence and inspiration from the films that I get to be in."

So, this time around, it makes sense that she was bringing in colors like tennis ball green, dazzling white and a lot of racket embellishments.
"I think we are constantly trying to be inspired by the film—whether that be literally," the Spider-Man actress explained to Vogue that same month, "like this morning, I had tennis balls in my shoes—or more just the essence of the character or a concept or idea."
In a white blazer without a shirt and long skirt, she added that her look for that day was a "Tashi moment" that "just feels like this woman."
