Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley are engaged!

On Friday (October 16), sources confirmed to Page Six that the 65-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” country music singer recently popped the question to the 61-year-old English actress.

The couple first sparked engagement rumors earlier this week when Elizabeth shared photos on Instagram while wearing a massive diamond ring.

One source shared, “She’s filming ‘The ‘Burbs’; I hardly think this ring is a prop.”

Billy Ray then added more fuel to those rumors on Thursday (October 15) when he shared a post on Instagram and included the ring emoji in the caption.

Billy Ray Cyrus and Elizabeth Hurley have been dating for over a year

Elizabeth and Billy Ray first met in 2022 while filming Christmas in Paradise. After being friends for years, they started dating in 2025 and went Instagram official with their relationship in April 2025. The following month, they made their red carpet debut as a couple at an event in Italy.

They’ve both been married before

This will be the fourth marriage for Billy Ray, who has six children, including Miley Cyrus.

He was first married to Cindy Smith from 1986 to 1991 then to Tish Cyrus from 1993 until their divorce was finalized in 2023. Later that same year, he married singer Firerose and they split the following year.

Elizabeth was in a long-term relationship with Hugh Grant from 1987 to 2000 before welcoming son Damian Hurley with late producer Steve Bing in 2002. She was then married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar from 2007 to 2010.
