Credit: GettyConnor Storrie and Hudson Williams took a break from filming Heated Rivalry season two to attend a special event on Wednesday (September 30).
The two stars joined several of their co-stars and producers at the Kate Spade New York Global Summit on Women’s Mental Health in New York City for a special panel celebrating the newly launched Irina Foundation.

Joining Connor and Hudson for the panel were co-stars Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova and Christina Chang, series creators Jacob Tierney and Brendan Brady, author Rachel Reid, and executive producer Jayme Alter Wilson, who is also the president of Jacob and Brendan‘s production company Accent Aigu Entertainment.
The Heated Rivalry crew convened at the “Authentically Ourselves: Resilience, Belonging and Community” panel during the Women’s Mental Health Summit to talk about the show and the newly formed charity, Irina Foundation, started by Accent Aigu Entertainment, and named for the fictional foundation that Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov start in honor of the latter’s late mother in Rachel‘s book series.
The real-life foundation was announced on Tuesday (September 29) and will “champion LGBTQIA2S+ and underserved communities through participation in sports and the arts,” the company shared, via THR.
Irina Foundation “will support organizations that create opportunities for the queer and underserved communities to participate, build relationships and foster a sense of belonging,” and Kate Spade New York made the inaugural donation to the foundation.

“For many of us, some of life’s most meaningful moments happen on a team, in a studio or on a stage —places where we find our people, discover what lights us up and feel like we belong,” Jacob and Brendan shared in a statement. “We’ve been incredibly lucky to build something we love and along the way find a community that means so much to us. The Foundation is our way of giving back. We’re grateful to Kate Spade and Harry’s for seeing that vision and helping us make it possible.”
“We chose the name Irina Foundation because, at the heart of Heated Rivalry, Irina represents something much bigger. She reminds us that behind every struggle is a person who deserves to be seen, loved and supported,” Accent Aigu president Jayme Alter Wilson added. “The Foundation is our way of honoring that message. We hope to channel the love people have for the world Rachel has created, and for Shane and Ilya, into something that can make a meaningful difference in the real world.”
During the panel, they talked about the upcoming second season, with Jacob teasing what has been expanded on in the show from the books.

“What we’ve really expanded on, as well, is [Shane’s] relationship to his identity as somebody attempting to achieve a thing which does not exist, which is perfection, which is something that I think a lot of us can relate to, as well,” Jacob dished, via Entertainment Weekly.
“And how do you do this in a partnership? How do you do this while also continuing to keep a secret? And Long Game takes it all really seriously and we’re taking it quite seriously,” he added.
