Julie Chen Moonves is opening up about her hopes for the Big Brother season 28 finale.

The 56-year-old host of the CBS reality competition series will return for one more episode this season, which airs on Thursday (October 1).

Ahead of the season finale, there are three contestants vying to win the $750,000, and Julie revealed her personal pick in a new interview.

“I want to see Taylor win the last HOH, and I want to see her win the show. That’s my hope,” Julie told Entertainment Weekly.

When asked why she hopes Taylor wins, the host said for “a lot of reasons.”

“I know some people have been critical of like, ‘You didn’t leave your pod. You didn’t leave your pod.’ Guess what? Every Diary Room session, she knew every beat of what was happening,” Julie shared. “She’s smart. And she won competitions when she had to. She won a veto early on when she was on the block. Not easy, you know, reading people.”

“She started winning competitions toward the end. Ones that were not easy. So it was kind of like that would be the ultimate ‘expect the unexpected,'” Julie continued. “At no point in the game would anyone ever say, ‘Oh, Taylor’s got this.’ So that’s my hope.”

She then shared another reason is because of their shared faith.

“And to be honest, because she loves Jesus and I love Jesus. She gave him the glory when she won that vampire puzzle,” Julie said. “She fell on her knees and she was like, ‘Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus.’ She wasn’t like, ‘That’s right! I did it!’ She was like, ‘Hallelujah.’ And I think she has mercy and grace, and I like that about her.”

Julie is referring to last Thursday’s (September 24) episode when Taylor finished the puzzle first to win one of the last HOH competitions.

There is no Big Brother tonight (September 30) – Find out why here. Be sure to tune in to the finale TOMORROW (October 1) to find out who wins the whole competition, and who wins America’s Favorite Houseguest, starting at 8pm ET/PT on CBS.
