If there's one celebrity I viscerally miss when they haven't been seen on a red carpet in a while or haven't posted much on social media, it's Gabrielle Union. Aside from being the human equivalent of the first beam of light that gently peeks through your blinds in the morning, she's a nonstop source of beauty inspiration. And when she comes back from a few weeks of living low-key, she makes up for lost time by regularly switching up her hairstyles, often from one extreme to the next.

Almost exactly a month ago, Union was seen at Paris Fashion Week with what can only be called a modern-day Posh Spice bob. And then, just days ago, the actor and entrepreneur literally shape-shifted her short do for the NAACP Image Awards with what her hairstylist, Larry Sims, calls a “Black Bombshell Barbie” bob. But if you thought she was going to pull off a bob hat trick, think again.

Instead of sporting another chin-length look as she made press appearances around New York City, Union added inches upon inches upon… feet, honestly. She was seen on both Wednesday, February 26, and Thursday, February 27 wearing a stunningly long, super-straight ponytail that was pulled so tightly that it probably improved her peripheral vision.
