Former Dancing With the Stars pro Gleb Savchenko is throwing shade at Alan Bersten, a current pro dancer on the show who was eliminated earlier this season. He was partnered with Giada De Laurentiis.

On Saturday (October 17), BBC Studios, which produces DWTS, announced that Val Chmerkovskiy has been given a one week suspension and will not be participating in the next episode. Instead, his celeb partner, Jenna Dewan, will dance with Alan for “Dedication Night.”

Gleb apparently thinks Alan is just, “eh.”

What Did Gleb Savchenko Say About Alan Bersten During His Live Stream?

During a TikTok live stream after this news was announced, Gleb made his thoughts known.

“Alan, I think he’s Alan. I mean, he’s just not up to the level of dancing, like, period. [The] quality, the technique. He’s a good dancer, I guess, for TV but if we talk about art? Like creating art? He’s like, eh,” Gleb said during a TikTok live stream.

Why Was Val Suspended From DWTS?

On Dancing with the Stars this past week, judge Carrie Ann Inaba criticized pro Jenna Johnson – who is married to Val, 40 – and her celeb partner Harry Shum, Jr. for having a lift in their dance.

After the episode, Val reportedly uploaded a social media post that said, “You almost saw Fresh Prince enter the ballroom last night,” to defend his wife. Many took this as a reference to Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars. He later deleted the comment.

Carrie Ann saw another celeb news website repost Val‘s comments, and wrote on her Instagram, “So this is what we’re doing now?”

Following Carrie Ann‘s reaction and intense backlash from fans, Val issued an apology.

However, he was then issued the one week suspension.
