Gordon Ramsay recently recalled a controversial episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The celebrity chef explained how he ended up detesting this set.

Gordon Ramsay still hates Kitchen Nightmares’ Amy’s Baking Company episode

In his latest interview with Deadline, Gordon Ramsay expressed his dislike for Kitchen Nightmares’ Amy’s Baking Company episode. “Out of all the series you have done, is there one episode, any of them, that has stuck out to you?” the reporter asked him.

The restaurateur called it a tough choice since he has been fortunate enough to work with so many. He then picked the Amy’s Baking Company episode and called it “fascinating, demanding, and tough for all the wrong reasons.”

The 59-year-old shared that he had to leave the episode midway. “Honestly, I couldn’t wait to get the f— out of there,” Ramsay explained. Amy’s Baking Company was episode 16 in the sixth season of the reality show.

The uncensored version of the episode is available on the YouTube channel titled “Kitchen Nightmares Uncensored.” In the 2013 episode, Ramsay arrived to guide the owners of the eatery located in a shopping center on Scottsdale Road and Shea Boulevard.

However, it turned out to be a toxic experience for the host. Ramsay was heavily disappointed with the behavior of the owners, Amy and Samy Bouzaglo. The British chef was shocked to see their treatment of the staff, claiming tips belonging to the servers and offering frozen, pre-made desserts. The most appalling was their slogan, “The customer is not always right.” Moreover, the owners refuse to acknowledge any criticism from Ramsay, who was eventually forced to walk away.

Netizens also shared their reactions to the episode on YouTube, with one saying, “Amy is more than just a Karen..We need a new category far higher than Karen called “Amy.” Another user wrote, “He really said ‘who do you think you are’ to GORDON FREAKING RAMSEY.” The Arizona restaurant was eventually shut down in September 2015.
