At the beginning of the clip, the video’s director Bijoy Shetty notes that, “There are some visuals in the glitches at the start!,” alluding to Easter eggs that may slip through the cracks.

Hanumankind spoke about his relationship with Shetty, writing: “Bijoy and I always sit together and brainstorm for ideas. While doing that, he sent across this idea for the Well of Death. The idea for this video was all him.”

The artist also spoke about his relationship with the song’s producer, Kalmi. He said: “Kalmi and I have been working together since 2019. We’ve been experimenting with sounds for a while now, and we’re going to keep doing that. The song’s got Memphis elements all over it, as well as a screwed section showing love to Houston.”

Kalmi also reflected on where he takes inspiration from. He explained, “Sonically, I draw a lot of inspiration from electronic music, distortion and industrial sounds. That’s where my worlds collide. I heard that bass riff and instantly felt ‘Sooraj [Hanumankind] needs to hear this ASAP.’”

Hanumankind also spoke about the lyrics in the song, noting where he pulled from for subject matter. He said, “The lyrics were inspired by things we were going through at the time. There’s always insight into my culture and people in my writing as well, so a blend of both.”

Once again reflecting on the video, the rapper added: “Everyone was pushing themselves during the shoot. Lots of improvising. And it was so loud through it all. When the bikes and car are going around the well, it’s almost impossible to communicate. Getting in the car was always wild, but I live for these kind of moments.”
