Happy’s Place has emerged as a hit among the fans. With the second season of the show nearing its end, viewers have grown curious about the NBC show’s future. Thankfully, there is good news for fans of the sitcom hoping for a Season 3.

Has NBC Canceled Happy’s Place or renewed it for Season 3?

NBC has renewed Happy’s Place for Season 3. This sitcom, along with the mockumentary-style sitcom St. Denis Medical, has been renewed at NBC. St. Denis Medical also has two seasons, and is now prepared for a third installment.

“Both ‘St. Denis Medical’ and ‘Happy’s Place’ have delivered comedic brilliance over their first two seasons, truly connecting with our audience with hilarious characters, and remain hugely important and successful programs to our primetime and Peacock lineup,” Lisa Katz, president of scripted content for NBC & Peacock, said in a statement (via Variety).

Katz added, “A huge thank you to the producers, casts, and crews of both shows who have brought these wonderful stories to life and will now continue to tell their laugh-out-loud stories.”

Happy’s Place is a multi-camera sitcom created by Kevin and Julie Abbott. It follows a woman who inherits a bar from her father after his death. However, she finds out that she has a younger half-sister who also has a claim on the inheritance. The series stars Reba McEntire, Belissa Escobedo, Melissa Peterman, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk, and Rex Linn, among others.

Barring these two, NBC has only two other comedies on its slate now: The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins and Stumble.

Reports state that NBC has three comedy pilots on deck this year. These include an L.A. private eye show from Dan Goor and Luke Del Tredici, a comedy about two therapists featuring Jane Lynch and Katey Sagal, as well as a rom-com that has Jamie Lee Curtis on board as an executive producer.
