Tate McRae is finally back with new music for the first time in nearly a year!

The 23-year-old entertainer dropped her new single, “Housewife,” on Thursday (October 15), along with a music video filmed in the south of France.

“I haven’t released in a while, and it’s just kind of about a woman who can’t be contained,” she said during a recent appearance on The Tonight Show. “We shot [the video] in the south of France, and it was so magical.”

During that appearance, Tate also revealed she first teased the song back in August!

“My fans in particular, we drop Easter eggs all the time, and they get none of them. They’ll always catch on to things that are completely wrong,” she said. “They never get the most obvious Easter eggs. This was literally in my [Lollapalooza] set. It said ‘Housewife’ when the set started.”

“Housewife” was written by Tate, along with Julia Michaels, Ryan Tedder, Grant, Aaron Shadrow, and El Guincho.

The music video, directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti, features appearances by Thjimen Oerlemans, Ruben Moreira, and Simon Lööf.

If you didn’t know, Tate is also set to perform at the upcoming 2026 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show on Sunday (October 18). You can tune in to watch her and others on YouTube and the Victoria’s Secret social channels.
