Marissa George found her perfect match in the most unexpected place.
Hours after the season four finale of Perfect Match aired May 27—ending with the lawyer leaving coupled up with fellow contestant DeMari Davis—she confirmed that she recently tied the knot with former flame D. Johnson.
"Over the last 13 years, we somehow always found our way back to each other," George told People in an interview published May 27. "Anytime we were both single, we'd reconnect and it was always clear the feelings never really left. Even our mutual friends would always say, 'If the timing ever works out, they're going to end up together.'"
The reality star—who was previously engaged to Ramses Prashad on Love Is Blind season seven before ending the engagement on the show—revealed that she and Johnson met and dated briefly in 2013 before reconnecting again after the season concluded.
"We were young and lived states away from each other, so the distance just didn't work at the time," she recalled of their breakup 13 years ago. "Eventually, after years spent being each other's 'what if,' we got to a point where we were like, 'Screw the distance, this is worth it.'"
And it worked out after Perfect Match wrapped filming in November 2025, with her revealing that she and Davis decided to end their romantic relationship offscreen.
"We both decided to leave the experience as friends and realized we were better suited that way," she told Tudum in an interview published May 27. "We spoke briefly afterward, but just left it as a friendship, appreciating the experience we had together."
So, George, 34, rekindled her relationship with Johnson, 39, and privately got engaged in February. The following month, the couple said "I do" surrounded by their closest loved ones in Savannah, Ga.

A small wedding was the perfect match for the newlyweds, though George has big plans for a future celebration.
"Having our parents there to celebrate such an intimate moment with us meant everything," she wrote on her Instagram Story May 27. "It was peaceful, intentional, emotional, and completely true to who we are and where we are in life right now. Next year we'll have a wedding so ALL of our family and friends can celebrate with us too."
As for Davis—who previously starred in season six of Too Hot to Handle—he feels ready to settle down with the right woman.
"The next person I date, I want to be my wife," the 29-year-old told Tudum. "I am much more intentional about evaluating partners as such."
