Nic Vansteenberghe is addressing his split from Olandria Carthen.

The 25-year-old Love Island USA reality TV star issued a statement to his TikTok followers following the news that he and his 28-year-old co-star on the dating reality series split up after leaving Season 7 together.

What did Nic Vansteenberghe say about the split?

“The rumors are true,” he began in the post, which is visible only to his subscribers on TikTok, but was quickly shared on social media.

“I didn’t want to give people false hope, so I want to clear the air. We will continue to love each other ALWAYS. It’s a sensitive, as well as a private subject, thank you for respecting our privacy,” he continued.

“I wanted to do it on here because you guys are our biggest supporters,” he added in the caption.

The two met during Season 7 of Love Island USA

Olandria and Nic appeared on Love Island USA Season 7, which aired in 2025, where they developed a connection after meeting in the villa.

The pair explored their relationship throughout the season, becoming one of the most popular couples among viewers. They went on to reach the finale, finishing as the runners-up.

Last month, Olandria addressed speculation about the status of their romance with a statement of her own.
