Margaret Cho is down to join Heated Rivalry season two!
Earlier this year, the 57-year-old comedian and actress revealed the surprising reason why she turned down playing Shane Hollander’s (Hudson Williams) mom, Yuna, in season one, but now, she’s offering an idea for her to join the second season.
While attending the premiere of her new movie, I Want Your Sex, Margaret talked about turning down the show and was asked who she should play in season two.
“An aunt,” she replied to Variety‘s Marc Malkin. “I’ll be an aunt. I’ll be anything. You know, I would just love to be a part of it, the world of it.”
“But also, I’m just so proud of their success,” Margaret continued. “I still own it. I act like I’m his mom anyway, so, it doesn’t matter.”
When asked what she thought when she first read the script, she said, “I fell in love with it. I was just so moved, and I was so touched. I was really laughing, also. I’m just so excited about this hyper-masculine world, the queering of it. That’s what I want to see. So, I was excited about that.”
Margaret isn’t the only actor to turn down a role in Heated Rivalry. Earlier this summer, it was revealed that someone else had to turn down a role in season two!

Christina also dished on her hopes for season two, which is reportedly set to start filming in a couple of weeks.
