[unpaid/sample] Since I don’t think we’ll have the REN brand with us for much longer, I’m wondering if this is their last new product. I mean, who knows? Maybe this is the one that will take it out of consultation and into the black because it really is very good. The REN Evercalm Sensitivity Relief Mist is, like all Evercalm products, suitable for sensitive and eczema prone skin.

This milky mist is an instant moisturiser – for days when skin is tight and rough, a quick spritz of the aloe, white mushroom and meadowfoam seed oil (my favourite of all ingredients) infused liquid is as truly satisfying as a cold glass of water on a hot day. I’ve been using it all weekend (although I don’t have dry skin) and it is a real skin refresher. I can feel the veil of …hmm, I think I’ll say oil, but it’s not at all oily feeling…on my face and it’s giving extra suppleness and softness. Pleasurable misting relies on good mechanics and, first spritz not included because that was more of a spray, this delivers a fine and cooling mist that sits easily on the skin without you feeling drowned.

The aloe vera is, by the way, a hyper-fermented blend which gives it (apparently) five times more moisturising power than regular aloe vera gel. This rings true to me because I’ve often been very underwhelmed by aloe vera’s supposed moisturising powers. Meadowfoam seed oil is a genius oil – one of nature’s absolute stars and I love to see it in a formula. It’s lipid rich, quick to absorb and an all round skin hero. Malin + Goetz has a meadowfoam balm HERE, which I didn’t even know they did (or maybe I forgot) if you want to try it on your dry skin. Also, as an FYI, meadowfoam is also known as the poached egg plant because of its yellow centre in white petals. So, on to the nuts and bolts – the REN Evercalm Sensitivity Relief Mist is £32 HERE. If I won several lotteries, I think I’d try and buy the Evercalm arm of REN and try to make it more affordable. It’s a beautiful range that helps dry skin no end but pricing isn’t always as accessible as it needs to be.
