Britani Bateman got her moment to shine on American Idol while supporting her niece Carmen Lorell.

The 54-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast member accompanied her 20-year-old niece at the audition and they even sang together!

When they walked in the room together, Britani asked the judges if they knew who she was and they all awkwardly sat there in silence. Carmen had to tell the judges that she’s from the Real Housewives franchise and they all appeared uninterested.

Carmen performed a solo song and then was asked to do an additional song to show off more of her voice. She and Britani then performed a duet of “Let Me Be Your Star” from Smash.

In the end, Carmen got a golden ticket and is heading to Hollywood.
