Lance Oppenheim sent Robert Pattinson 200 canisters of Zyn
Robert was initially only going to produce the film until screenwriter Ajon Singh changed the script to convince him to play the lead role. But according to a new interview with Vulture, director Lance Oppenheim had a more unique way to convince The Batman star to take over.
Here’s the latest update on The Batman Part II after director Matt Reeves had to take a step back.
Speaking to Vulture, Lance revealed Robert had a “Zyn addiction,” referring to the brand of small nicotine pouches. There was a shortage of Zyn in the U.S. at the time, so Lance got a Canadian friend to send 200 canisters of Zyn to Robert‘s home.
Later, the filmmaker followed up with the latest draft of the Primetime script and a letter that read, “Dear Chris Han-Zyn.”
When Robert later agreed to the part, Lance compared it to “LeBron making the announcement that he was joining the Heat.”
Chris Hansen has shared his reaction to seeing Robert Pattinson‘s portrayal of him in Primetime—here’s what he thought.
