Shelley Fabares‘ cause of death has been confirmed by her family.

The actress passed away on August 22 at the age of 82 and she is survived by her husband, MASH actor Mike Farrell.

“She was a devoted wife, cherished stepmother, daughter, sister, niece, aunt, family member, and loyal friend whose warmth, generosity, humor, and grace made an enduring difference in the lives of everyone who knew her,” her family told People. “She had a remarkable ability to make people feel welcomed, valued, and cared for.”

Now, they’ve confirmed how she died.

The family has confirmed that Shelley died from pneumonia.

Shelley‘s previous health struggles were also confirmed by the family. She previously was “diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis and in 2000 received a liver transplant.”
