Charlie Hunnam's beloved biker gang will ride again.
Because the Sons of Anarchy cast is reuniting for the upcoming spinoff Legends, FX announced Aug. 19.
The new original limited series—which comes over a decade after the seven-season motorcycle drama ended back in 2014—will feature original cast members Katey Sagal (Gemma Taylor Morrow), Ron Perlman (Clay Morrow), Maggie Siff (Tara Knowles), Mark Boone Junior (Bobby Munson), Tommy Flanagan (Chibs), Kim Coates (Tig), Theo Rossi (Juice) and, of course, Hunnam as protagonist Jax Teller.
But here's the twist.
The actors will all be playing themselves in the action-packed follow-up, a brainchild of Hunnam’s, which blends television fiction and real-life fandom.
"When the cast of Sons of Anarchy reunites at a fan convention after more than a decade," reads the network's description, "the line between life and art blurs as the fractured brotherhood finds itself up against a real-world threat more dangerous than anything they ever faced in their show."
Sons of Anarchy creator Kurt Sutter—who is married to Sagal—is not attached to the project, according to the press release.
While Hunnam has tackled some memorable roles since saying goodbye to SOA—including his recent turn as horrific real-life serial killer Ed Gein in Netflix's Monster: The Ed Gein Story—Jax Teller will always have a special place in the 46-year-old's heart.

"Frankly, it gave me a career," Hunnam reflected in a 2020 interview with People. "And it gave me the ability to have confidence that I was going to be able to make [acting] work as a lifelong career."
He added, "I think I went into Sons of Anarchy being a pretty unaccomplished actor in terms of my skill set. I wasn’t one of these people that were born enormously and innately talented. I had to really cultivate a skill set."
