We’re still months away from the third season of House of the Dragon, but we do have some news we can report about cast updates! The Game of Thrones spinoff series is confirmed to return to HBO in summer 2026 with an eight-episode third season, which filmed last year in the UK. We know that 22 actors are confirmed to return and seven exciting new stars have already been announced. One major star was killed off the show in season two, so she won’t be back. Three other series regulars were not included in the cast list, so they seemingly won’t be back for the next season. First look photos were unveiled in December!
